HARWICH – The Family Pantry in Harwich is offering client families the opportunity to come and get fish provided by the Cape Cod Fishermen’s Alliance as part of their program which provides different species of seafood to needy families on Cape.
The Pantry’s Executive Director, Mary Anderson, says the program gets healthy fish to those who may not be able to afford it.
“Fish can be very expensive, so the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance is working on trying to get this to an affordable fish that the pantry can afford to purchase and therefore we can it get to our client families,” she said.
Costs associated with the program are covered by grants to the Pantry from Cape Cod Healthcare, Cape Cod United Way and the Kelly Foundation.
