WELLFLEET – A fire alarm system likely prevented a major blaze in Wellfleet. Firefighters were called to the Pearl Restaruant at 250 Commercial Street shortly before 3 a.m. for the alarm sounding. On arrival, smoke was noted inside the restaurant. Firefighters made entry and quickly extinguished a small fire. Crews then ventilated smoke from the structure. The fire was reportedly caused by a construction light.
