YARMOUTH – A child reportedly nearly drowned in Yarmouth shortly afternoon. Rescuers were called to the beach off Cove Road on Great Island where bystanders had pulled the victim, said to be about 12 years old from the water. A Yarmouth DNR boat brought the victim to a nearby dock where the ambulance was waiting to transport him to Cape Cod Hospital. The victim was later MedFlighted to a Boston hospital. Further details were not immediately available.
