BREWSTER – Update at 9:45 p.m. Searches for the possible missing boater have come up empty so far. The search has been scaled back pending further developments. Previous story: Several towns searched along the shores of Cape Cod Bay for a possible missing boater Sunday evening. It started sometime after 6:30 p.m. with a call that a sailboat with its sail still up washed up near Crosby Landing Beach in Brewster. Orleans, and Eastham officials joined Brewster in searching along their shores while the Coast Guard searched by boat, and a State Police helicopter searched by air.
