SANDWICH – Sandwich Police report that on Friday at approximately 1:30 a.m., Sergeant Trayner and Officer Grigorenko responded to Pinkham Road and Turtle Cove Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Prior to their arrival, witnesses advised dispatch the operator was attempting to leave the scene. When officers arrived, the vehicle had front end damage and was unoccupied. A witness at the scene observed the operator walk into a driveway and then heard a door shut. Officers went to the house to check the well-being of the operator. Once at the residence, the owner did not know anything about the incident, but observed shoes that did not belong to him inside his house. The owner gave officers consent to enter the residence. Officers observed a male party lying on the garage floor who was not known to the owner of the residence. After an investigation, Brennen Carroll, 22, of Sandwich, was charged with OUI Liquor, B&E Building Nighttime for Felony, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, and Operating to Endanger.
