BOURNE – An elderly man was seriously injured when his vehicle crashes into some trees. The crash happened just after 1 p.m. off Bayhead Shores Road. Firefighters had to use saws to cut trees away so the victim could be extricated. He was then taken to the Mass Maritime Academy to meed a MedFlight helicopter which flew him to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. The crash is under investigation by Bourne Police.
