PROVINCETOWN – Fire broke out at a condominium complex in Provincetown sometime after 8 p.m. Firefighters rushed to 23 Harry Kemp Way and quickly knocked down the flames. One person was seen being led to an ambulance. According to reports, that person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation. A cat was rescued by firefighters but sadly did not survive. The fire appeared to be contained to one unit but fire crews remained on scene ventilating smoke and making sure the fire had not spread to any other units. An engine from Truro and a Wellfleet ambulance covered the Provincetown station during the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
