Local police participate in White Ribbon Day to end domestic violence against women

CAPE COD – Local police participated in White Ribbon Day Campaign. This campaign invites men and boys to be part of the solution in ending violence against women.

On the first Thursday in March, men throughout Massachusetts speak out to:

Change societal attitudes and beliefs that perpetuate and make excuses for violence against women!

Promote safety and respect in all relationships and situations!

Build a network of resounding voices that will support and advance the initiatives and efforts of Jane Doe Inc. and its member organizations to promote the safety, liberty and dignity of survivors!

EASTHAM – The Eastham Police Department supports White Ribbon Day.

“From this day forward, I promise to be a part of the solution in ending violence against women.”

And they take the pledge ” From this day forward, we promise to be part of the solution in ending violence against women and all gender based violence.”

The Falmouth Police Department supports White Ribbon Day by taking the pledge…. “From this day forward, I promise to be part of the solution in ending violence against women”. Thank you to Independence House, the C&I District Attorney’s Office and Yarmouth PD for hosting this very important event today.
