Man accused of threatening fellow employee at UPS facility in Yarmouth

YARMOUTHFrom Yarmouth Police: On Friday, November 22, 2019 at 5:30 AM, Yarmouth Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the United Parcel Service shipping facility at 131 Ansel Hallet Road in West Yarmouth regarding a disturbance between employees involving a knife.

Upon arrival, Patrol Officers observed 20 people standing outside and were advised that the suspect was inside the building.

Officers found the suspect inside the building, searched him for weapons, and secured him.

The on-scene investigation determined that the suspect, identified as Romane R. Wilson, 25, of Dennis and another employee became involved in an argument. During the dispute, Wilson held a knife high over his head and threatened the other man. After the threat, the man threw the knife under a metal shelf.

Officers located the knife and it is being processed and held as evidence.

Wilson was placed under arrest on a charge of assault while armed with a dangerous weapon and was transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters for booking He was subsequently transported to the Barnstable District Court for arraignment.
