PROVINCETOWN – We’re learning of a bizarre accident late Wednesday evening in Provincetown. According to reports, a car drove down the Atlantic Avenue Town Landing and right over the stairs leading to the beach by the Boatslip Motor Inn around 10 p.m. The vehicle reportedly ended up partially in the water. The driver was evaluated by EMTs but declined to go to the hospital. A towing service extricated the vehicle from the beach. The stairs suffered significant damage and, as you can see above, were cordoned off with yellow caution tape. It was not immediately clear if the driver will face any charges.
