WEST BARNSTABLE – Two people were injured, one seriously in a crash in West Barnstable shortly before 1 PM. The crash happened on Shoot Flying Hill Road near the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. A Chevy Equinox and a Toyota Tacoma pickup collided. Firefighters had to extricate both drivers from the wreckage. Both were taken to Cape Cod Hospital, one with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening. A Centerville ambulance assisted with transport.
The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police. Traffic was backed up in the area while the scene was worked.
