NANTUCKET – Earlier today a U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod helicopter crew dropped a dewatering pump to the fishing boat Stevie B II after it began taking on water 52 miles off Nantucket. Fortunately, Stevie B II’s crew was able to secure the cause of the leak and the boats pumps were able to clear the water. Stevie B II was able to continue on under its own power without any additional assistance. The video above shows the helicopter crew dropping the dewatering pump.
