YPD and Yarmouth Chamber to host forum on detecting terrorist threats

YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Police Department, in partnership with the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce, will host a free 45 minute training session titled “Learn How to Disrupt the Extremist,” designed to increase awareness to our partners in the Yarmouth Business Community.

The session is scheduled for October 20 at 10 a.m.

This first of its kind Public Awareness Training Program will help us educate employees and community leaders in the concept of ‘See Something Say Something’ and detecting the potential signs of terrorist threats, trends, and tactics.

This simple public outreach program is designed to generate public awareness with the private business community relating to terrorist planning activities.

It’s focused on educating community partners on how to identify potential suspicious activities that may lead to terrorism planning within the community.

To register for the free class, contact the Yarmouth Area Chamber of Commerce at 508.778.1008
