DENNIS – The 1st Barnstable District will benefit from $1.3 million in state funding for three projects.

State Representative Tim Whalen (R-Brewster) filed two amendments included in the economic development bond bill passed by the House and Senate last week that include $1 million for the dredging of Sesuit Harbor in Dennis and $200,000 to improve culverts and drainage for Barnstable’s Blish Point Neighborhood.

Just over $100,000 in Coastal Zone Management grant funds will also go to Dennis for coastal resiliency efforts at Dr. Bottero Road and Chapin Beach.
