BOSTON – The Martin Richard Foundation has announced the 2018 Bridge Builder Grant Awardees. More than 30 projects across the Commonwealth and beyond will receive support from the foundation.
Recipients, who will get $500, must propose service projects that show a commitment to community engagement, justice and peace.
The Pilgrim Area Collaborative in Plymouth is one of the winners.
They can be designed by young people, teachers, parents, or any youth development professionals. Their ideas should reflect inclusion, equality, understanding, and trust.
This year’s projects include gardening, clean-ups, peace festivals, arts in the park, birthday kits for children who are facing homelessness, as well as activity kits for kids who are hospitalized.
Some of the foundation’s values are sportsmanship, inclusion, kindness and peace.
