Busy Sagamore Road To Be Converted To One-Way Street Tomorrow

SAGAMORE – A busy road in Sagamore will be converted to a one-way street tomorrow.

Adams street, a well-traveled cut-through road, will become southbound only from Sandwich Road to Route 6A. Northbound traffic from 6A to Sandwich Road will have to use Ben Abbey Road.

With the change, traffic on Commonwealth Avenue will only be allowed to turn left, and vehicles exiting the Canal View Apartments will only be allowed to turn right.

Town crews will close down the road around 7 am Friday to prepare for the conversion. The Department of Public Works will be marking and putting up the appropriate signs while the road is closed.
