Cape Cod Museum of Art to Hold Cajun Dance Party Concert

DENNIS – The Cape Cod Museum of Art’s Music & More! Concert Series continues this weekend with A Cajun Dance Party.

The concert is Sunday, February 17 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the museum in Dennis.

Digney Fingus and band will transport guests to a Cajun party in Louisiana with a mix of Americana roots, blues and country sounds.

The special concert will spotlight two of Digney’s concept CD’s that tell the story of Johnnie Boudreaux – a man who is too good looking for his own good.

Boudreaux is a character in both albums, “Trouble on the Levee,” and “Talk of the Town.”

Each CD scored high on NPR, Americana, Roots Rock, and college charts.

His song “Boudreaux” was runner-up for Best Americana Song by the Just Plain Folks Awards.

Johnnie’s story is also currently being developed into a Cajun opera.

After the concert, guests can mingle with the musicians over coffee, tea and cookies.

Tickets are $18, and $15 for museum members. To purchase tickets visit ccmoa.org.
