SANDWICH – State Police responded to a car fire on Route 6 in the westbound lane between exits 2 and 1 shortly before 6 this morning.
There were no injuries reported.
Police say the driver of the car was able to get out of the vehicle unharmed.
The cause of the fire is believed to be mechanical.
