CCHC and Cape Cod Mall Partner for Winter Walking Program

Cape Cod MallHYANNIS – Cape Cod Healthcare and the Cape Cod Mall have partnered this winter to provide a safe way to exercise.

The “Healthy Parks, Healthy People” Mall Walking Program is a convenient way for walkers to keep up their fitness regimen.

The mall will have a mile marked trail and an exercise physiologist from Cape Cod Healthcare will be on hand Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 11 a.m. to check blood pressure, assess BMI and give health and wellness tips.

The exercise physiologist will be located at the Cape Cod Healthcare kiosk through mid-June.

The mall opens for walkers daily at 8 a.m.

An introductory breakfast for the program will be held at the Cape Cod Healthcare kiosk in the mall food court at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9.

The winter mall walking program is an extension of the “Healthy Parks, Healthy People” partnership between Cape Cod Healthcare and the National Park Service which started last summer.

Cape Cod National Seashore rangers led trail walks and healthcare clinicians provided health screening and advice. The outdoor program will resume in June.
