Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates Appearing in Two Cape Cod Debates

FALMOUTH – The three Democrats running for Governor will be on Cape Cod next weekend for a debate in Falmouth.

Setti Warren, Robert Massie, and Jay Gonzalez are all seeking their party’s nomination to challenge incumbent Republican Charlie Baker in November.

The debate is being organized by Engage Falmouth and the Cape and Islands Democratic Council and will be held at Falmouth High School on Saturday, April 14 at 4 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 3:30.

“I’m hoping that this forum will increase voter turnout in both the upcoming primaries and in the general election,” said Engage Falmouth co-founder Jarita Davis. “We have three excellent candidates running, and I think it’s important to have as much information from them as possible to know who will be the strongest to put forward in the general election this fall.”

The three Democratic candidates will also appear in a debate at the Monomoy Regional High School on April 9 at 7 p.m.

The candidates will answer questions from a panel of students overseen by a student moderator. All other aspects of the debate will also be run by Monomoy students, including timing, and lighting and sound operations.
