Dennis to Discuss Proposed Zoning Change

DENNIS – Dennis selectmen and the Dennis Municipal Affordable Housing Trust have been hosting a series of educational sessions on housing in Dennis.

The goal is to address affordable housing issues in the town of Dennis.

The final discussion is scheduled for Thursday, January 10th.  The main topic on the agenda is Understanding Accessory Dwelling Units and the Proposed By-Law Change.

Dennis is considering a change to current accessory dwelling laws that would create standards and remove some restrictions in order to make accessory dwellings more readily available in order to increase housing availability in town.

The Keynote Speaker will be Stefanie Coxe, a consultant with Smarter Cape Cod. The session will examine the potential benefits of the change, and residents will be able to address the panel with questions and concerns.
