Drop-In Nights at Mashpee Public Library Continue in September

MASHPEE –  Drop-In Nights for Substance Use Resources and Treatment Options will continue at the Mashpee Public Library in September for those struggling with drug addiction.

The next Drop-In Night will be held Tuesday from 4-7pm.

The event is a rare chance to connect one-on-one with 17 different treatment and recovery professionals in a relaxed, informal setting and receive Narcan training.

“The whole concept of drop-in night is that anyone coming to drop-in night can connect with a resource right then and there,” said Mashpee Human services Director Gail Wilson.

The night is free to attend and is held on the first Tuesday of each month.

“Whether it’s a phone number or connecting with a 12-step group or getting into detox or support group, there’s really many different resources all in one night, all in one place,” said Wilson.

The Mashpee Substance Use Task Force launched the first Drop-In Night at the Community Health Center in June 2017, which was modeled after EB Hope out of East Bridgewater.
