Environmental Organization Seeking Volunteers to Monitor Water Resources

BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable Clean Water Coalition is seeking volunteers for its Marine Invader Monitoring and Information Collaborative.

The program collects data on invasive species growing in and around our oceans and estuaries.

The coalition is expanding its number of MIMIC monitoring sites throughout the town of Barnstable and is looking for help.

A training session for individuals interested in volunteering for the program will be held Thursday, June 21 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Barnstable Clean Water Coalition office.

The organization asks interested participants to RSVP by emailing [email protected].

The coalition is an organization that works to restore and preserve clean water in Barnstable by educating the public, monitoring water resources, mitigating threats and advocating for the environment.
