BARNSTABLE – A Falmouth man was sentenced to serve four to five years in state prison today for beating a man unconscious and robbing him at the Falmouth Walmart last August.
Robert Green, 36, was convicted last Thursday in Barnstable County Superior Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and unarmed robbery.
Green struck and kicked the victim several times after an argument in the store’s electronics department.
Green then took the victim’s wallet as he lay unconscious.
His prison term will be followed by five years of probation.
