Harwich Cultural Council Hosting Local Grants Informational Session

HARWICH – The Harwich Cultural Council will be hosting a local grants informational session on Tuesday, August 13th at noon at the Harwich Cultural Center.

The “bring your lunch” session is open to non-profit cultural organizations, artists, schools, and residents interested in applying for funding from the Harwich Cultural Council.

Local council grants support a variety of arts, science, and humanities programs and projects in the Harwich community.

The next grant cycle will open on September 1, 2019 and close on October 15, 2019.

The Harwich Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth.

The local grants program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences, and humanities every year.

The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.

Application forms and more information about the Local Cultural Council Program are available online at www.mass-culture.org.
