Heritage Museums & Gardens Elects New Board Trustees

SANDWICH- The Board of Trustees of Heritage Museums & Gardens has recently re-elected their board chair and three new members of the board at its 49th Annual Meeting.

Tracy Isham of Hyannis Port, will retain her seat as chair. New board members elected are Harry Alverson III of Boston, Therese Murray of Plymouth, and Tad Shultz of East Sandwich.

Isham, has served as Board Chair for the past year. She previously served as vice chair of Heritage’s Board of Trustees and is an active member of the community, having served as a longtime board member of the Hyannis Port Civic Association.

Alverson is a retired Partner and Managing Director of The Carlyle Group, the second largest alternative investment management firm. He currently serves as a senior advisor to Miller Investment Management and a consultant on private equity matters.

Former Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray served for over 20 years in the Massachusetts Senate. During her tenure Murray emphasized the importance of our health care industry, working on the original health care reform legislation and authoring three additional health care bills focused on cost containment, quality and access to care.

Finally, Tad Shultz is the owner and founder of International Stadia Consultancy, an innovative architectural consultancy firm with a focus on the planning, design, and development of dynamic sports venues. Mr. Shultz has established a reputation over the past 25 years for creating vibrant and innovative sports projects world-wide.

Heritage Museums & Gardens’ Board of Trustees is responsible for strategy, policy, long-range planning, and the organization’s fiscal health.
