Urine Diversion Rejected at Falmouth Town Meeting

FALMOUTH – Falmouth voters at town meeting this week chose to reject funding to test a proposed urine diversion program.

The article would have funded a pilot program of the alternative technology meant to help reduce nitrogen pollution in local water bodies as the region wrestles with what the state says is failing wastewater infrastructure.

Meanwhile, voters gave the go-ahead to all other articles, including a real-estate transfer fee that will go towards affordable housing.
