Luca Tapped As Provincetown Chamber’s New Executive Director

PROVINCETOWN – The Provincetown Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Radu Luca as its new Executive Director.

Luca plans to continue the Chamber’s growth, which was led by retiring Candice Collins-Boden, who spearheaded its successes for 44 years.

“With extensive experience and a master’s in tourism marketing, Radu is the ideal person to expand the chamber’s services to the Provincetown community and increase awareness as a world-class tourism destination,” said chamber president, Patrick Patrick.

Radu, with in-depth understanding of strategic marketing and advertising, grant programs, municipal operations and non-profit organizations, will be creating the Chamber’s marketing campaigns, overseeing major renovations to the town’s primary visitor services building, and supervising a staff of seven while carrying on the chamber’s mission of working on tourism infrastructure (visitor centers, rest rooms, transportation, seasonal housing for workers, etc.)

“Having dedicated my career to the people of Provincetown and its visitors, I am thrilled to pass the helm to Radu who has proven ability and enthusiasm to access cutting-edge strategies in securing Provincetown’s place on the world stage,” said Collins-Boden.

Collins-Boden plans to continue her involvement in the town on a volunteer basis.

She has earned Governor’s Awards for Tourism under multiple administrations, served on countless state and regional boards and committees over the decades and traveled overseas to bring international visitors to Provincetown’s shores.
