Maria Mitchell Association to Host Last Owl Prowl of 2018

NANTUCKET – The Maria Mitchell Association will host its last Owl Prowl of the year nest weekend on Nantucket.

Guests will join the association’s Field Ornithologist, Ginger Andrews, on a night-birding experience on Saturday, December 22 from 4 to 6 p.m.

After visiting the association’s demonstration Barn Owl nest box, attendees will visit sites known for owls, play recordings of their calls and wait for a response or sighting.

Limited transportation is available for the Owl Prowl from 4 Vestal Street.

The program is meant for adults but children 8 and older are welcome to register with an adult guardian.

The cost is $24 for association members and $40 for non-members.
