NANTUCKET – Health officials on Nantucket are trying to get an important message out to patients on the island with MassHealth insurance.

Fixed enrollment for MassHealth begins July 1, meaning every MassHealth member has until June 30 to make sure their health plan aligns with their health care providers.

Patients need to have the correct plan for their doctor.

“Patients may have to change their plans to ensure that their local physician will continue accepting their MassHealth insurance,” said Jason Graziadei, the Public Information Officer for Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

Nantucket Cottage Hospital officials stress that MassHealth members who have not updated their plans or primary care provider information should call the state’s customer service line or contact the social services department at the hospital.

The Mass Health Customer Service line is 800-841-2900.

The Hospital reports that MassHealth patients of Dr. Tim Lepore should pick either the MassHealth PCC plan or the BMC HealthNet Plan, while MassHealth patients of Dr. Leif Norenberg should enroll in the Tufts/Boston Children’s ACO.

MassHealth patients of all other doctors on Nantucket should enroll in the the Partners Healthcare Choice.
