BARNSTABLE – Police departments across the Cape will be accepting unwanted and unused medications this weekend during national Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, a national effort to keep drugs from being misused.
The effort is designed to reduce prescription drug abuse and keep the drugs from seeping into the water supply. Anyone may turn in medications, there is no paperwork and no need to remove labels. Liquid medications must be in sealed bottles.
The meds can be dropped off at any Cape Department on Saturday from 10-2.
