Nth Degree Concert to Feature the Flute

HYANNIS – The flute will be the featured instrument when the Cape Symphony’s chamber music ensemble, Nth Degree, returns to the stage Sunday.

“Fickle Flute” will be held at 3 p.m. at the Federated Church of Orleans.

The performance will highlight the orchestra’s principal flutist Zach Sheets and showcase four composers with a flair for the flute.

The program features music from Bach, Sergei Prokofiev, Pierre Sancan and Bohuslav Martinu.

“Fickle Flute” will also feature Cape Symphony concertmaster and Nth Degree Series Jae Cosmos Lee and guest pianist Wei-Han Wu.

Wu has performed in venues such as the Chicago Cultural Center and the Kennedy Center.

Together as the duo Axis, Sheets and Wu have presented recitals and commissioned and premiered major new works for flute and piano.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at capesymphony.org or by calling the box office at 508-362-1111.
