Safety Paramount Halloween Night

Cape Cod HalloweenYARMOUTH –  With Halloween on the horizon tomorrow night, public safety officials are reminding the public to have fun but to also stay safe.

Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos says some towns are hosting safe, free trick or treat events but there will be lots of costumed little ones making their way from house to house.

“If you’re going to go door to door that’s fine, just be careful and wear bright clothing. Stick to neighborhoods you are familiar with, where you know the people and then for the adults they’ve got to be careful too when they are out driving, there will be lots of children and families walking around.”

Xiahros says the best idea is to get trick or treaters out and home early, and cautions potential troublemakers that police will be extra vigilant Halloween night.
