BOURNE – Residents interested in getting a behind-the-scenes look at the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office can sign up for the department’s annual Citizens Academy.
Sheriff Jim Cummings says the course will start on April 25th, running through June 13th. There will be seven classes in total.
Staff will show students how the department handles and response to emergency calls, how the K9 unit is used, and will demonstrate the crime-solving bureau.
Interested citizens should contact the sheriff’s department. Space is limited.
