Sullivan Sworn in as Dennis Deputy Police Chief

Dennis Town SealDENNIS – The new deputy chief of police in Dennis was sworn in this morning.

James Sullivan has spent 28 years with the department, rising to the rank of detective sergeant before his promotion to deputy chief. He started out as a summer officer and police dispatcher.

Sullivan was sworn in by town clerk Terri Bunce.

An official badge pinning ceremony will be held at the selectmen’s meeting on Tuesday, June 30 at 6 PM at town hall. On that same night, Joseph Morris will be promoted to sergeant and John Brady will be promoted to lieutenant.
