Summer Schedule Set for The Cape Playhouse

DENNIS – Winter on Cape Cod is winding down that means the summer entertainment season is just around the corner.

The 2018 summer season at The Cape Playhouse in Dennis is set and will feature Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning shows.

The six show schedule includes three plays and three musicals, half of which are Playhouse premieres.

The season will kick off with Robert Harling’s “Steel Magnolias,” which is directed by Pamela Hunt and will run from June 13-23.

The acclaimed comedy “Sylvia,” written by two-time Pulitzer Prize-nominee A.R. Gurney, will be the second show at the Playhouse. It will run from June 26 through July 7 and will be directed by Matt Lenz.

Director Hunter Foster and Music Director James Barry will bring a fun night of rock ‘n’ roll to the stage with “Million Dollar Quartet” from July 10-21.

The 4th show of the season, “Altar Boyz,” from director and choreographer Jason Sparks will run from July 24 through August 4.

The final musical of the season, “South Pacific,” will run from August 7-18 and will be directed by Cape Playhouse Artistic Director Michael Rader.

Hunter Foster returns to direct the season’s final show, the pre-national tour of “Clue: On Stage,” from August 21 through September 1.
