Whelan Gets Additional Endorsements

 

DENNIS – State Representative Tim Whelan is announcing that he has received the endorsement of SEIU Local 509 as well as the Massachusetts & Northern New England Laborer’s District Council in his bid for reelection.

SEIU Local 509 represents 20,000 service workers and teachers in both the public and Private sectors. The Laborer’s District Council represents about 25,000 general construction laborers and public employees.

“I am proud of the positive relationships I have forged with the leadership of both SEIU Local 509 and the Massachusetts & Northern New England Laborers District Council through my work as ranking member on the Joint Committee on Public Service,” Rep. Whelan said in a statement.

“The women and men that comprise their membership work hard in difficult jobs every day to support their families and to make the Commonwealth a better place to live. I deeply appreciate their endorsement of my reelection campaign.

Whelan’s reelection bid has been endorsed by several other notable officials and unions, including Governor Charlie Baker, the Mass Teachers Association and Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts.
