FALMOUTH – Officials with the YMCA Cape Cod and Falmouth Aquatics have announced a major step forward in their efforts to create a YMCA on the Upper Cape.
Both organizations have agreed on a Memorandum of Understanding outlining plans to bring a state-of-the-art YMCA facility to Falmouth.
According to a joint release from the organizations they aim to establish a facility that delivers programs and services in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility for the Upper Cape communities of Falmouth, Mashpee, Bourne, and Sandwich.
The effort will combine the results of over 6 years of background work done by both organizations. Programs and services offered will meet local community needs as studied by both organizations.
