Shortstop Zach Rutherford was the key to the Harbor Hawks offense last night at McKeon Park. Going 3-4 with 3 doubles, an RBI and a run scored, Rutherford lead his team to a 6-3 victory over Falmouth.
The Kettleers came close but couldn’t get it done as they fell, yet again, to the Braves 5-4. Orleans ended their four-game losing streak last night in Y-D, beating the Red Sox 5-3. Harwich just keeps on rolling and their first place spot in the East Division remains secure as they now have a 12-4 record. The Mariners collected another win against Brewster with a final score of 5-1, and it was Wareham who came out on top over Chatham in their Tuesday evening contest. The Gatemen outlasted the Anglers 1-0.
Tonight’s schedule is full again with two games at 5: Hyannis @ Brewster and Chatham @ Cotuit. Y-D heads to Bourne at 6. Falmouth and Wareham spar at 6:30, and the first place Mariners take on the Firebirds in Orleans at 7.
