Falmouth man charged with A&B causing serious bodily injury


FALMOUTH
– On Saturday, the Falmouth Police responded to a Sandwich Road address to investigate a report of an assault and battery. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim with serious injuries and learned that the suspect had fled on foot. A Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office K9 track was initiated and the suspect was found behind a house in the area and placed into custody. The injured party was transported by the Falmouth Fire/Rescue Dept. to the hospital for lacerations and possible broken bones. A preliminary investigation revealed that the two had an argument, which led to a physical altercation including the victim being kicked in the head several times.

According to the Falmouth Police log transcript used for CWN’s weekly arrest report, the suspect was identified as James Michael Vega, 45, of Falmouth who was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.
