SANDWICH – State Hazardous Materials technicians were called to Sandwich Thursday afternoon to clean up a mercury spill. Sandwich Firefighters called for the team after being called to a Moon Compass Lane residence. An older mercury style thermostat had apparently broken spilling a small amount of mercury.
