Local police departments who already have long standing relations with schools in their community took part in “High Five Friday”. Police officers who are always there greeting students at the start and end of the school day, on Friday as a spirit day began offering up “High Fives” to any students wishing to reciprocate. This was a coordinated effort between local school districts and police departments/officers to promote positive relationships with the youth in our communities
