I cannot believe this is the middle of June already.
Father’s Day is fast approaching. A day I love. I’ll talk to my kids and maybe they will send a card. Actually, it’s OK if they don’t. I know they love me, and I am proud to be their Dad, and to be a parent to them.
On this Father’s Day, and every Father’s Day, I salute the MOTHERS who pull double duty and are both parents to their children.
My kids have divorced parents, and sometimes, distance is tough on all of us. But I do the best I can to help their mother. I am appalled at fathers that do not own up to their kids. I know there might be circumstances that hinder that, but if you can…DO!!
I am amazed at the women who pull the double duty and raise the kids alone. I know a few single mothers, and I must say, what a great job you all are doing under tough circumstances.
So, Happy Father’s Day to all the great Cape Cod Dad’s and to the Mother’s who are Dad’s too!!
