Girl Badly Burned In Fire Just Wants Cards For Christmas

You may have seen this story, as it’s been circulating around social media for the past few days. Safyre is 8-years-old, and back in 2013, she was badly injured in a house fire that burned about 75% of her body, killed her entire family and left her homeless. Safyre was the lone survivor in what has been deemed as an arson attack. Since then, she has had to have her left foot and right arm amputated. Safyre lives with her father’s sister, her aunt adopted her after the tragic loss.

This Christmas, Safyre has one wish. She is asking for Christmas cards from people all over the world. I came across this story last night, and the more I read, the more I cried. This story just broke my heart into pieces. It just made me ask why? Why did this have to happen to her? Why did her family have to be taken from her? Why all of this pain and suffering for one little girl? I wanted to help her so badly. I planned on signing a card to send to her. Then, I had a better idea. I’d get a card and bring it to the radio station and get everyone to sign it! That’s exactly what I did. Everyone has been more than happy to sign a Christmas card for Safyre, and the card will go in the mail for her tomorrow.

If you’d like to send a card to Safyre, here is the address:
