HYANNIS – Independence House is conducting a “listening project” and wants the public’s thoughts on how the Cape Cod community can play a role in helping to prevent domestic and sexual violence.
The project is an idea that was taken from the work of The Rural Southern Voice for Peace/The Listening Project.
The project will consist of a year-long process of interviews with people of all experiences, disciplines, ethnicities, sexual orientations and ages who have experienced or know someone who has experienced domestic or sexual violence.
In 2018, Independence House will be presenting a Violence Prevention Conference where the results from the year-long project will map out a plan to help stop domestic and sexual violence.
