ORLEANS – The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy has spotted what they believe is their largest shark so far this season.

Researchers photographed the 15 to 16 foot shark Tuesday near the Nauset Inlet off Orleans.

The Conservancy and state shark expert Dr. Greg Skomal are in the second year of a white shark population study that is focused on the area just off Monomoy and points north.

The researchers have been going out at least two days since mid-June and will stay on the water through the end of October.
