Vineyard Charity Golf Classic to Benefit Island Non-Profits

vineyard golfEDGARTOWN – A new charity golf tournament will be held late next month to benefit Martha’s Vineyard Community Services and other non-profits supported by the Rotary Club of Martha’s Vineyard

The inaugural Vineyard Charity Golf Classic will be held on Monday, September 28 at the Vineyard Golf Club.

The tournament will help fund a range of programs that serve more than 6,000 people each year including early children programs, assistance for the disabled, counseling for mental health and addiction recovery.

The tournament features a 2016 Toyota Highlander car from Falmouth Toyota as the hole-in-one contest prize along with a Boston sports themed raffle package.

Other prizes will be given out for the longest drive, putting and closest to the pin contests.

The entry fee will be $250 per golfer, with an early bird entry fee of just $200 by September 1.

The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, breakfast and lunch, contests with prizes and goodie bag giveaways.
