HYANNIS – Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe and Barnstable Police Chief Matthew Sonnabend announced that on Saturday at approximately 1:00 AM, Barnstable Police received a 911 call regarding a stabbing in the area of Old Colony Road and Main Street in Hyannis. Police observed a group of three individuals standing over a male subject laying on the ground suffering from apparent stab wounds. Hyannis Fire and Rescue arrived and transported the victim to Cape Cod Hospital. He was later MedFlighted to Boston Medical Center where he is being treated for critical injuries. A number of arrests have been made at this time, however, the matter remains under investigation by Barnstable Police Department with assistance by State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office.
