Updated: Fatal crash involving a motorcycle closes Cranberry Highway in Wareham, drivver facing 4th OUI charge


WAREHAM – Wareham Police report that Cranberry Highway (Route 28) is currently closed in the area of Monteiro Street due to a motor vehicle accident until further notice. Police urge motorists to seek alternate routes.

The closure is east of Charge Pond Road near the Ford dealership. A photo shows a motorcycle was involved in the crash.|

Update: The Plymouth County District Attorney’s office identified the victim as 25-year-old Jordan Hansen. He was taken to Tobey Hospital and later transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford where died. The car driver allegedly involved in the crash, Raymond Cardoza, 67, of West Wareham, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor 4th offense, leaving the scene of personal injury or death, and operator after license suspension. He was held on 100,000 cash bail.
