SANDWICH – A car vs pole crash knocked out power in Sandwich late Friday evening. The crash happened about 11:45 p.m. on Old County Road. The driver was not seriously injured. Over 1,000 Eversource customers lost power for a time as a result of the crash. The crash, which shut down Old County Road, is under investigation by Sandwich Police.
